Ad inizio stagione estiva ho montato sulla mia MTB le racing ralph, in versione UST 2.1 al posteriore e UST 2.25 all'anteriore.
Dopo aver passato un'estate con queste gomme montate posso dare qualche giudizio personale.. Partiamo dal montaggio sul cerchio, ottimo, si montano e si gonfiano senza bisogno di attrezzi e compressore, hanno tallonato subito e non hanno creato nessuna difficoltĂ .
Passando alla prova sul campo la racing ralph si è rivelata una gomma molto scorrevole sia al posteriore con la 2.1 sia all'anteriore con la 2.25, queste sezioni sono pero' un po' esagerate, nel senso che la sezione reale rispetto a quella dischiarara è un po' inferiore se paragonate ad altri marchi.
La trazione su fondi asciutti e la direzionalità si è sempre rivelata ottima, mentre su fondi umidi o bagnati le gomme tendono a diventare scivolose e a perdere grip, sopratutto all'anteriore.
Se usate a pressioni basse ( sono arrivato ad usarle a 1.5 bar grazie al mio peso di soli 56kg ) la situazione sul bagnato/fango migliora ma solo di poco.

La tenuta alle forature è invece un bel punto di domanda... dato che usandole come UST con il lattice fino ad ora non mi sono mai accorto di eventuali forature... Mentre per la tenuta a tagli fino ad ora mai un problema anche percorrendo sentieri molto rocciosi.
Passiamo ora alla durata... non sono molto duraturi.. si consumano abbastanza velocemente ma il grip rimane sempre buono... io ci ho percorso circa 400km e il battistrada al posteriore è quasi finito, mentre all'anteriore direi che siamo ad un 60%.

Io ho usato le Racing Ralph da 2.25 per tutta la scorsa stagione (sia anteriore che posteriore) e, dopo aver provato vari tipi di gomme, devo dire che secondo me sono le migliori in commercio per la loro versatilità . Ho percorso più di mille km, con qualsiasi tipo di terreno e non mi hanno mai tradito. Ho fatto anche qualche uscita sulla neve e sono rimesto veramente colpito perchè anche qui avevano un ottimo grip. Per quanto riguarda le forature devo dire che sono molto contento perchè seppur usandole con le camere d'aria ho forato solo due volte e tutte nello stesso giorno. Consiglio quindi questo tipo di gomma a chi non ha ancora trovato la sua gomma ideale, naturalmente nella sezione che più gradisce.
